Elected officials of color in Boston say the protests aimed at Mayor Wu have gone too far

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu has talked about the toll that the nearly-daily protests taking place outside her home and following her around the city have had on her, her family, and even her neighbors. Today, other elected officials are standing up to say enough is enough. More than a dozen elected officials of color in Boston have signed a statement condemning the "hateful" attacks against Mayor Wu, saying they refuse to just stand by as, "openly racist, anti-Asian and sexist rhetoric is normalized in our community." We talk with Suffolk County Sheriff Steven Tompkins, one of the officials who signed the statement, about the ongoing situation and how it's resonating with him.
